even better idea: if anyone (male or female) feels uncomfortable because they got a creepy person (male or female) following them or stuff, they should be able to go to any person or group of people (male or female) and say "hey this person is following me/ creeping me out can I sit with you?" Then this person/ group of people will will let this person sit with the. Until they feel safe. It's the same thing as the post, but for any gender, cuz this can happen to anyone. Ya feel?
And I'm not trying to sound bitchy, not my intention.
I feel ya, even better idea. I just think the person who posted this has found that it's often females that feel threatened or creeped out but I undoubtedly agree with you!
I've had to do this before and I've also had people come to me. People are generally quite nice. As an added bonus you could make a good friend/s out of it :)
Its against guy code but I've seen some creeped out girls before and butted in like I knew them and after the guys walk away I say they looked creeped out and I usually get a hug and a thank you. Then I go back to my friends.
My hero. I don't really think it's against the guy code, my friend actually has Barney Stinsen's the bro code book so I'll look it up, but I think that's awsome. Just have to be carful, you don't freak out the girl trying to help her. Still tho, my hero.
What a FANTASTIC idea!
Because clearly in every instance, a woman can reject a guy without fearing for her safety in the process!
Because our society knows from experience that **EVERY** man understands what the word "No" means!
You've saved us all!
Golly, I wish someone had thought of this sooner!
How innovative!
Wow!
Frickin' foolproof!

Yes, because I' sure OPs idea is fool prof as well. Mine wasn't meant to be more effective, it should just be done first.
Also, informing the assailant I want to keep my money/don't want trouble is the first thing I do. (Been "mugged" three times, managed to talk my way out of one.)
If someone is making me feel uncomfortable enough that I feel the need to go sit with someone, I'm pretty sure I've already made it very clear that I'm not interested. Also, sitting with someone just in case is not bitchy.
And I'm not trying to sound bitchy, not my intention.
