im a girl and i would do extacly the same thing. this is a list to take literally because it even has numbers, if not you just write down names and (...)
Funny thing is, in Pashto we call the lid of a pot the "head" and one time I asked my little brother if he could put the lid on the pickles pot, and he put his head on it xD
The person who made the list was not specifying the quantity of each item she wanted. The numbers were simply meant to be used to create a more organized list. The dots (.) she is referring to is as such:
1. Milk
2. Cucumber
Where as without that use of punctuation, people could assume that she meant get one milk, two cucumbers, etc.
Hope that helped :).
Reminds me of a joke... Mrs sends hubby to the shops saying can you please get a dozen eggs and if they have potatoes, get six.
He comes home with 6 eggs.
She says in anger "What's this? Why only 6 eggs??"
He says, "They had potatoes."
.
or 1) 1, 1- for that matter.
