Do you want to know what is traumatic?!?? I picked up my gerbil to find he was dead I started crying. When I rolled him over, he was missing an entire LEG from the knee down. I dropped him back in the cage, and cried and screamed for hours. We never found the leg or the reason why it was gone. I was only ELEVEN.
