War of 1812. America invaded canada in the early stages of they war ( im not sure why) and the canadians repelled them. They joined with imperial british troops to invade the washington dc (they were still a colony of britain). Since then, we have disposed of the idea of invading canada, to our mutual benefit.
The war of 1812 was an American war against the British Empire which at the time was stealing from merchants and forcing American sailors into their navy to fight in the napoleonic war for the British. Some overzealous glory hogs decided they'd seize the opportunity to invade what is modern day Canada. Still a UK Colony. Canada didn't become a country until approximately 50 years later. Canadians under the British empire may have joined the ranks of british regulars but Canada itself has never been in a war or state of conflict with the U.S.
No one would start a war with Canada and Canada would not invade because it would just be silly. Could you imagine?.. Oh no, they are coming.... It's the Canadians.... Quick, someone turn up the heat.
As an American I often thought of candoans like fellow country men. They are a powerful nation with a well renowned nation. But the US has never lost a war either. Now before you start aurguing let me point out some facts... The North Korea war is still continuing under a cease fire. we pulled out of Vietnam a year before it collapsed, we probably would have won if it wasn't for those damn hippies. The middle eastern wars are either ongoing or were wars where the UN actually started but since we sent the largest force it became the US' war. In my opinion, if there is one war we lost... It would have to be the war of 1812, I think the US only accomplished like 3 of its original 12 goals.
