Hey guest, read it again. She said that she is from Portugal and that's how they say it there. It's "Eu te amo" for Brazilians but that doesn't mean that she's wrong. By the way, pardal, thanks. I didn't know that. :)
I do that all the time when people ask me how to swear in ASL. I taught them things like potato or can't instead, it's hilarious watching them sign at each other and think they're swearing when they're really just calling each other potatoes :)
