But for real guys, it's a proportionally scaled-down version of the actual tent so that you can see all the features without them having to construct the real tent and take up a bunch of room in the store. This works especially well for those giant 12-person tents.

I always thought these were dog tents and you set up your dog tent right next to your tent tent so you can have your dog camp out too
