How the hell are cows giving rights!?

In India people believe that cows are their dead ancestors and treat them with high respect, kind of like ancient Egyptians did with cats.

As an ethnic Indian, well, I can't say I'm proud of the country. I love it and all, but it's one of the most backwards and oppressive countries on the planet (apart from maybe Syria, the Arab, etc) and I fear that it's never going to change. When I visit the land of my ancestry, one day I hope I can be truly proud of it.
