This is awesome! Funstats, how do you get all of this info? Do you have to contact the creators of funsubstance to get some of it? I really enjoy this, thank you!
The stats are collected by a friendly neighborhood robot. Robo scrolls down the all page from top to bottom (yes, all the way to post 1) and records important information, like titles, authors, likes, and comments on each post. Robo saves these to files that I then open in Excel, where it's fairly easy to sort by likes, count posts by specific authors, etc.

To avoid placing a burden on FunSubstance, Robo does this over a period of time. Robo also does not request the actual images from the server, only the post data. However, the volume of content on FunSubstance has increased so rapidly that this year Robo's scan used about 2GB of bandwidth, the equivalent of someone browsing around 7,000 posts.

While Robo would happily scan millions of pages, I wouldn't want to adversely impact FunSubstance by requesting too much information too quickly. Should the site continue to grow, I may not be able to compile a post like this next year without help from FunSubstance.

That's a 8000 row spreadsheet. One row per username, with the user's post and comment count, as well as their post and comment like counts. Blank cells indicate the user has no data in that area (posts/comments). Use ctrl + f to find a name in the list. Every row is a user except "guest", which is all guests combined in one row, and "deleted", which is all deleted accounts combined in one row. Click the "funnel" icon at the top and choose "Create new temporary filter view" to sort the list. You can then click the little arrow next to any column to sort by it, like to get a list of users by number of likes or something. Have fun!
