Okay, downvote me all you want for what I'm about to say, but if he wanted to do die that badly, couldn't he have done it in some other way? You just don't take 150+ people and kill them while pretending nothing abnormal was happening. It was an 8 minutes fall, yet evidence suggest the guy was breathing normally all the time, nothing that suggested something wrong was going on, besides, you know, the fact they were falling from the sky.
In certain cases, people will only commit suicide if they can take others with them, a prime example is of a lady about 150 miles away from me, she loaded both of her kids (I believe either toddlers or infants, can't remember) into her car climbed in herself and started it in a closed garage they all asphyxiated on fumes. Its not uncommon for murder suicides to occur.
Yeah, but most of the times you hear about doing it to family members. Like you mentioned, the mother taking her kids. The father who not only killed the wife, but also his children, and then killed himself. That kind of thing. But here? He just decided to take the lives of 150 strangers with him. It's... really sad. I just wonder what was going through that man's head.
Its hard to tell, the guy must have been in a very dark place, he could've been having problems at home or anything, being a pilot is an incredibly stressful job it can't take much to cause a snap.
Being a decaying human being dorn to die is an incredibly stressful thing and you don't see everybody commiting mass suicides/homicides. Sure, some have it better, some have it worse but come on. It's unfortunate that copilot was so terribly depressed but he should've at least try to reach out and find himself some help instead of crashing a plane.
I'm not justifying his actions, I think it's cowardly to kill others because of your problems. I also think it's too early yet to jump to any conclusions about what really happened, though it looks like murder/suicide he could have simply passed out, I'm also not an investigator or even following the case all that closely.
I'm not attacking you for anything, @whospikedthepunch, I just wanted to point out that we all have problems, some more, some less but that's in no way an excuse to commit suicide or, worse, try dragging others along that road.
I've dealt with depression and anxiety all my life, almost 30 years, never once have I tried to commit suicide or even thought of it really, but I did remove myself from the primary cause of those issues. Plus like I said I consider anyone who hurts another, human or otherwise because they have problems a coward and to hurt yourself is pointless.
To be honest, I don't get why people are bashing fangirls about them being upset by Zayn leaving. Yeah sure, some of them are kinda overdoing it, but I honestly don't see the correlation between people dying and a member leaving a band. We were devastated and still are devastated by MCR's break up (I am in no way stating that 1D is anywhere near as good as MCR) but I think its stupid to bash them for being upset. Especially considering that 1D turned out a lot better than most teen sensations.
Good comparison son. I got one for ya.... Maybe he wants to take his career in wait for it waaaait for it another direction.

I see what you're getting at but just because some are mourning his departure from the band doesn't necessarily mean that they don't care about what's going on. Some have their own personal feelings and you can't really stop that.

As much as I detest One Direction, this is just another example of "you have a problem, but it's smaller than this other one so it doesn't matter". Aren't we against that as a community?
" you lost one parent to cancer ? Well I lost both in a car crash so you don't get to cry. " like that.
And lot's of these people crying over 1D are teenagers so they probably don't even know what's going on over in Europe. I didn't even know that this happened.

I think it's fine that ppl don't know but I think the problem is that the news doesn't focus on it which is why no one knows :/
This is someone who these fangirls have looked up to for almost 5 whole years vs a bunch of people that they don't even know. It may seem harsh or cold-hearted but imagine one of your closest friends passing away and a stranger who you don't even know, you'd care more for your friend than the stranger.
Tbh, a lot of people didn't even know that the plane crash happened. I was in China for the past week, but I heard about 1D and I do care about the plane crash, it's just a personal issue that I band member that I love has to take time off for the same issues that I have. This post is basically saying that some people have it worse and that I should feel bad about caring about one of my favorite bands.
No he's not, regaurdless of mental illness, he brought down a plane killing a bunch of innocent people. People have the freedom to choose what to do, the copilot could have sought out help, he chose to kill people.
He didn't choose to have a mental illness. But he did choose to kill a bunch of innocent people along with him.
He murdered people, so he is a criminal.
Being honest, this two things shouldnt be compare to each other, i get your point, but you also need to understand that grown up people get to understand more the plane crash situation better, but mostly one direction fans are just a bunch of teenagers, and mostly all teenagers die for bands or boys or parties or video games, idk whatever! but they are not really focused on whats going on in life, and thats how society is now. And yeah, you might think girls crying over zayn leaving is stupid now, but one day when they are all grown up, they'll look and remember and laugh, because it was a phase, a teenage phase

Is the rumour about Zayn partying his ass off true?
Yeah, but there's a huge difference between a band breaking up and a pilot killing 150 passengers because he wanted to die.
No ones saying these girls don't get to look up to them, they're just saying there are worse things going on.
The fangirls can't do anything about the plane crash, but they CAN feel better about 1D by commiserating with fellow fans.
If you really want shallow, double check all your first world complaints about having to go to school or work for money to put gas in your car or can't find free wifi in favor of people who would love to be able to go to school, have a job, have a car...or gosh, the fact that people die from war and starvation all the tim, and all we can do is criticize someone else's criticism on an internet humor site.
I agree. People die every day but that doesn't mean I have to drop everything I'm doing and cry about it. It's not going to make me forget my problems anyway.
And lot's of these people crying over 1D are teenagers so they probably don't even know what's going on over in Europe. I didn't even know that this happened.

But I really dont care about Zayn.
Jesus, fangirls!
