I've done that to three phones now since the first one had more bloatware than memory and the second one had quite a few non-english apps that I couldn't use anyhow, my current phone is actually not that bad since it has 16gb on board storage and 32gb card so I didn't worry so much about apps I just killed ads and disabled network for some apps.
So does getting dropped in cow dung but since my last two phones were bought off amazon without warranty anyway I don't care, I just made sure my current phone was rugged (s4 active) enough to stand up to a rough existence. If I can destroy several nokia phones mine have to be tough.
So, guest. You are telling me you have never heard of Googlephone? LG Nexus?
You should try it.
Iphone is great for users who wont do anything themselfs.
It's like standing outside the themepark, looking in through the iron bars.
Nexus is like beeing inside the themepark with a VIP-pass.
It might not actually be Android, but rather the crap flavor of Android that the phone company decided to fill up with bloatware before selling it to you.
I don't want to start a phone debate, but I've dropped my Iphone so many times on hard surfaces ans it has been thrown across the room once, and it's not even cracked.

Because of shock absorbance. All the phones that claim their phones cant break need to drop it on a pebble from a small distance, enjoy.

But at least our phones don't break if you drop it a couple times.
