I have no idea how my grandparents met. Is it just me?
Update: I asked my grandma and she said that they sat next to each other at a horror movie and they both laughed when this guy died.
Mine had a forbidden romance cause she was a nurse and he was a sailor and they weren't supposed to have relationships between stations... Something like that. I'm not so sure on the details.
My grandparents met in a cocktail lounge and her friend was getting hit on by this cheesy guy and my grandad was his friend so my grandma looked at him and rolled her eyes and winked annnnddd a few months later before he got deployed he took her ice skating in NYC and proposed.

My gran told my grampa she was 18 (she was 16) and then faked a pregnancy because he had money... Then they got married
My grandmother and grandfather met when they were only 16. She used to work at a shoe polish shop and everyday he would come and get his shoes polished. My grandfather said he fell in love with her the moment he saw her and they've been in love and married ever since. It's been over 40 years now and their love is still there.
My grandad met my grandma when he still was in an other relationship (my grandma didn't know).. He left the other girl for my grandma and now they have been married for 60 years.
My great grandpa tried courting my great grandma but then WWII happened and a bunch of dramatic things happened and he was a POW. Then the war ended and they had a huge party in their village but she was sad because she thought he was dead and then he went up to her and started dancing with her and they were so happy and reunited and he proposed.
My grandparents lived across the street from each other. They grew up as best friends. When they started dating my grandpa would always give her little trinkets. They got into a fight that neither remember because it was so trivial. My grandmother pack all the trinkets up in a little brown bag and tried to give them back. My grandpa told her he'd take them back only if she married him because she was the only person in the world he could never be without. Sadly, when my grandmother passed my grandfather truly gave up on life and passed shortly after. I was very close with them. They were two of the most wonderful people in my life.
