I only know how to count up to 20 in Afrikaans and that's where my knowledge of that language stops even though my mums side of the family are Afrikaans
You say one hundred not a hundred. That’s like say a hundred dollar bill, it’s meant for an object not just a quantity. Like you’d ask “how much?” And the answers is one hundred

For numbers above 20 you bacally say (number between 1 and 9)-en-(the ten)
For instance, 23 will be "drie-en-twintig" :D
