As a Dutchie I can confirm. My nephew got one at the time a car crash happened before our eyes and while I dragged the guy out the car, he took care of the dog

In america (or at least utah) they do that too. No matter what, if a kid is involved in a police matter, they get a stuffed animal

Most of the Ontario Provincial Police Cars in Ontario Canada have them too as do many of the local municipalities.
