Dont forget that we did originally separate ourselves from you and you guys lost the war against the grandchildren of your own people, right?
THROUGH THE DAWN'S EARLY LIGHT
Guest what makes you think that? Theres not much fighting out here, only in few areas, and everyone else thinks those ppl are idiots lol. A majority of the country is very peaceful, but the media doesnt show that ')
cembers, we did create a lot of good shows. We didn't steal all of your shows you idiot. Breaking Bad, Orange is the new black, spongebob, MLP, Modern Family, South Park, The Simpsons, Family Guy.
All of these and manymanymany more are all American shows. You haven't copied them, but we made them ourselves and they're all pretty good. So don't make some fucking ambiguous statement that we can't make our own shows, because the freedom will blow you the fuck out of the water.
WHOSE BROAD STRIPES, AND BRIGHT STARS
All of those shows you mentioned are shite. Well, I've heard good reviews of OITNB but haven't watched it yet. And my comment was merely a hyperbole, obviously I didn't mean America doesn't have its own shows.
The UK made Sherlock and Doctor Who...
Haha, all Australia has is Neighbours and Home and Away. Which I don't even watch. Never the less:
WITH GOLDEN SOIL AND WEALTH FOR TOIL
It is not free, as in you are still paying for it in some sort of way.
But there is no such thing as free in the real life. When something is "free", it is because you already payed a price in another way, or they (the company) expects you to pay more in the future (free trials, for example).
.
We could argue, though, that "free" health care is cheapier, since everyone is contributing to it at every single moment. That is, when you don't even need it, you still pay something. But when you need it, you have it there for you, at no cost (or, let's say "no additional cost"), or at least at a price that otherwise you wouldn't be able to pay for.
Can someone argue why "free" health care is worse? Or add to why it's better?
Darkanhell, tell me how I'm paing fot my health care then?

Any taxes that you pay to your goverment, those get distributed on all the "free" (or cheap) services they bring you, along with public institutions like the police.
One of those services is the free health care you have, assuming you live on a country that does so.
Do I pay taxes? No I don't. In the UK, we don't pay directly for healthcare.

Each time you purchase something, you are paying taxes.
Each time you order any service, you are paying taxes.
And also, I doubt there are no direct taxes in the uk, but i can't look it up right now.

There are income taxes, according to the UK gov website.
You still pay taxes if you earn over 10,600 pounds a year. If you're under 18, your parents pay taxes (unless they earn less than 10,600 pounds a year, which I doubt). Your parents are helping to pay for free health care.
I honestly don't know how you don't understand that money to go towards things can't just be conjured out of thin air.

Your caregiver, then. Whoever is your caregiver/guardian is paying taxes. Only if you earn less then 10,600 pounds are you not paying income taxes, and I'm sure even if you don't there are other taxes.

That's why I said in, gosh, 4 comments ago, 'You still pay taxes if you earn over 10,600 pounds a year. If you're under 18, your parents pay taxes'.
IF you're under 18.

Well if he doesn't pay taxes for it. He steals it.
...just because you're against capitalism doesn't mean you don't pay taxes.

1095 people (so far) agree that free health care would be a good thing. I spent $1200 a month in premiums and then another $1000 on prescriptions. I'd be perfectly happy to have my taxes go up a little bit. It would still be a lot cheaper than privatized health care and insurance.
Not everyone pays taxes, but everyone gets healthcare for free. You're obviously not British. I don't pay taxes, I get free healthcare. That makes it free.
Free for everyone. You just pay very indirectly. Stop slating the UK

"Very inderectly" is still paying.
Ergo is not free.
We are not bashing the UK, we are trying to make you understand that free means 0 cost, whereas "paying inderectly" is not 0.
And before you say anything, my country has free healthcare, too. So, yeah.
Undefeated?
OH, SAY CAN YOU SEE.
