Well when I was that age my handwriting was kinda like that, because of the fact that we had handwriting classes everyday. Nowadays tho...

It looks like it has been done with a calligraphy pen, so I'm finding it a bit hard to fully believe this... Would you trust a 6-7 year old with a calligraphy pen?!

Back before ballpoint pens were invented? And pencils were shit? Yes. I mean, what would you have them write with? Sticks ? Quils? The only decent writing instrument was a fountain pen!

Fountain pens were far too expensive to ever let a kid use, it would have been a dip pen or crowquill.

Which would also allow calligraphy to be written. No pen needed.

They need to continue to sell dip pens and/or crow quills then

The reason why it looks so good is because they used calligraphy pens, and they used to have handwriting classes.
