... I feel weird when I go to someone's house and I start to take off my shoes only for them to say "oh, you don't have to, it's okay." IT'S NOT OKAY PEOPLE! IT FEELS UNCOMFORTABLE!
For the same reason, whenever someones comes into my house, my mom then gets this urge to mop the entire living room.
Next to the door we keep our like shoe cabinet and once I went to a friend's house and it was huge and super expensive carpet and everything and the parents are like 'It's okay kids keep your shoes on' but I take my shoes off when we go upstairs.
Is it common sense? No. It's based on how you were raised. If you were raised to do a certain thing then you won't even necessarily think about it until asked. In this case, is it common sense for you to take off your shoes whenever you have mud or something similar on them? Yes. But that's different.
An absolutely brilliant piece of work, and one of the few that I'd actually recommend the dub for. Then again, the English script and main character were both done by my favourite VA...
Not really, I've lived almost everywhere and 90% of the time whenever I go to someone's house we usually are asked to put our shoes somewhere/ requested to remove our shoes
I mean like the asians in america? Idk, whenever I go to my white friends homes they dont really care, but when I go to another asian american's home, they ask me to take off my shoes.
You said it, white american, because I am deathly sure I am not asian, nor do I think I have a drop of Asian blood, and yet my entire family does that.
