We all have equality of opportunity in natural selection. Our domination of the planet is a direct result of being the best of the best at thriving.
And whose to say we don't own Earth? We came up with the concept of ownership, and our power lets us own what we want, planet included.
We lay claim to it. No other species lays claim to it. We own it. How is this incorrect?
In what way are we not dominant (on land, at least)? We dominate every other species, reroute rivers, we've settled almost the entire place, we seed clouds, our oil spills can create massive dead zones, we have the power to completely fuck the whole thing if we want.
And we've create a lot of stuff along with all the stuff we destroy.
Because we are creatures here along side the other ones. No other species is arrogant enough to. They know to coexist when all we know is to own. We only live here, rent space if you will. Our species isn't above any other, though we might think it. You can't own something that is so much more powerful and complex as the Earth. She owns us.
"Because we are creatures here along side the other ones."
And?
"No other species is arrogant enough to."
It's not arrogance if it's true.
"They know to coexist when all we know is to own."
Animals don't know shit. They fight all the time. What the fuck are you talking about?
"We only live here, rent space if you will."
As opposed to what?
"Our species isn't above any other"
I have listed ways in which this is wrong.
"You can't own something that is so much more powerful and complex as the Earth."
Why not?
"She owns us"
It's a rock, it can't own anything.
How were any of your points solid? They consist of "We live here and animals live here", something about animals having knowledge, and ownership not applying to Earth because it's complicated or something. None of these are compelling arguments.
WUUUOOOOOOOOOWEEEEEEE NEED YOU
TOOOOO FIIIIIIND HIS SOOOOOOOON
