She called the cops on a STATUE, thinking it was a homeless person.

Yeah got that. But they said it's a statue of vagrant Jesus and the artist's message about judgement wouldn't be very clear if there wasn't something to actually point out that it's Jesus.

Crucifixion marks really aren't that obvious if you're driving by and just happen to glance over...

Until I read this post, the idea was utterly foreign to me. I mean, why WOULD you?

Some places (a lot of places) have laws prohibiting loitering. Perhaps this could be considered as such?

I hadn't thought of that. :)
But it still irks me that someone would rather have a homeless person arrested than, say, directing them towards the nearest shelter/safe haven.
