Kinda happened to me with my best friend in high school... it didn't work out. Left me broken and turned me into a bit of a douche.

The next ex... well, that's the one you guys hear me talking about. Burned out my insides and turned me into a real asshole.

So yeah, "childhood" sweethearts will change you. Especially when it fails. Life ain't no fairytale kids.

I guess apparently that could've happened for me, but I kinda pushed him away and got with a bad group of "friends".
I had a boy for a best friend in middle and high school. We were interested in each other at some point but all my other friends were interested in him too and I was afraid I'd lose all my friends if I dated him so I turned him down. I haven't seen him since he married the girl he decided to date after I said no. I ended up marrying my best friend from when I was in college.
I volunteer as a tribute!
