Yes that is Donnie playing ip man, the man who trained him. Ip man is a real person and both Donnie and Bruce were trained by ip man

Actually it was Grandmaster Jhoon Rhee who taught Bruce Lee

This does not mean anything, to be the best trainer or teacher or mentor, you don't have to be the best athlete or scholar or artist, same as an art critic has to be the better artist to be legit.

I don't think Donnie Yen taught Bruce Lee. Now Ip Man they've made at least 3 movies about him and any bio of Bruces talks about him. Also Bruce was the first to push his body to that level of strength. Even more so than his teacher
