Yeah, How about no. We've seen that the minions are effectively indestructible and immortal. However the monsters of Monster's Inc are also practically indestructible. The weapons would do virtually nothing. However Sully has enough strength to overpower the 4 minions and incapacitate them or throw them back to the Inc for experimentation or even recruitment. Then they can go back for the girls. However as the monsters have discovered that laughter is more effective than screams (Monster's Inc) the girls have nothing to be afraid of. Also there is no wardrobe in the girls' room at Gru's house (Where I'm assuming they are now). Therefore the monsters can't enter the room anyway.
