People have limitations. No matter how hard you try, somethings never change. Accepting those faults and forgiving yourself will open new doors and strengths.
If people have limitations, how can a paraplegic man become a flying ace?
How can some girl in the middle east get acid dumped on her and still try to go to school?
How can some random Ukrainian workers prevent nuclear catastrophe?
All limits are self-imposed, accept them and you'll live a life of mediocrity.
Sure those people did that, but not every person in that situation could do that. I'm not saying limitations are bad. We all have them. It's part of being human. You can't be perfect at everything.
It's not settling for less. It's accepting where you settle and realizing that that is your limit. Maybe it's you limit at the point in time so you can do better next time. Maybe it is your absolute limit. The point is to forgive yourself for your short comings, because we all have them. Are you trying to say that we can perfectly achieve everything? I'm here to tell you I will never win a Superbowl. And I accept that.
Can you win a Superbowl, an NBA title, get a degree in Neurology and engineering, while transforming a small town business into a global power all in the same life? Seems a bit unrealistic. You maybe able to do two of these in the same life, but if you peruse one you will likely be lacking in the other. And that is where accepting your limitations comes in.
Say you are blind then it is not realistic to say that they and learn to see again if they try hard enough.
I think what thethirdi is trying to say is that at a moment in time you are only able to do so much. I used to be paralysed in my right leg and I used to try to push myself beyond my limits and that almost cost me the ability to ever regain mobility, in the short story- sometimes you have to accept that you have done enough for that moment in time and maybe the next say you can continue to try your best. As long ad you never give up and keep going then you will reach where you want to be.

No-one has ever achieved greatness by mistake. Especially not by accepting a shortcoming.
