I think it's just because parks are meant to be fun and happy, so seeing them the opposite is eerie, just like dolls are supposed to be toys, but are creepy af
We don't know exactly why it closed but it was probably profitability. The disease was amoebic meningoencephalitis caused by amoeba found in fresh water lakes during summer.

I can kinda see it being left to rot (however I've never been there) but the music playing seems unlikely because wouldn't that cost electricity?
I heard there's a three legged alligator living in Rivers of America. I heard people have tried spreading dead loved one's ashes all over the Haunted Mansion.
But that's creepy...
