That's why you either core them or stop eating before you reach the core, my dog would always bring me an apple from one of the many trees on the property to cut up for him, my cows on the other hand just ate them whole but never got enough to have a toxic response since only a few apples actually fall into the field.
He was a burnese mountain dog unfortunately I lost him a couple months ago to injuries he sustained getting hit by a vehicle in my own front yard, this is about what he looked like except his paws were tan instead of white which is unusual, I don't have an actual picture of him with me since I'm not home.

Ripshot, his first night home he ripped the side upholstery off the couch and ran around like a speeding bullet that is until he hit the tile in the hallway at full speed and ended up in the closet at the end of it he never could keep his balance on that slick ceramic.
I miss him but he was getting old and had already had one cancerous growth removed, and even if he would have survived his injuries he wouldn't have been the same, on the bright side I'm bringing one of his grandkids home tomorrow.
I opted for a female this time (they don't get as big as the males my house barely survived ripshot's 150 pounds of muscle) I'm thinking about calling her sheema, but I may hold off until I see what her personality is like first since she's still shell shocked from a 50 mile trip in my noisy old truck.
SOME PEOPLE WILL TRY TO FEED THE DOGS WITH ONLY FRUITS. THE POST COULD SAY. DONĀ“T FORGET TO GIVE YOUR DOG A MEAT BASED DIET. YOU CAN ADD SOME FRUITS LIKE TREATS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. THEY WILL GET IT LIKE YOU CAN FEED YOUR DOG WITH FRUITS ONLY. AND POOR DOGS WILL GET SICK AND DIE BECAUSE VEGAN.
Well if we can all just put down the megaphones step back and quit screaming, dogs like all animals do require some fruits and vegetables, but a purely vegan diet is not healthy for any omnivore human, dog or otherwise. And to be fair if you actually read the ingredients on 99% of commercially available dog foods most dogs are getting about 1% meat, and that's actually stuff that isn't even generally edible.
Ok I'm not gonna argue with a brick wall let alone one who insists on screaming in text form, I suggest you either do a google search or better yet call a vet and ask them, as you will likely be told that dogs will and often do eat fruits and vegetables to supplement certain nutrients not found in meat, which is exactly why some people (mainly because they are too damned stupid to recognize a deficiency) end up taking their dog to a vet to have rocks removed from their stomach.
Ok just to put a stop to this right now here is everything you need to know about dog nutrition from somebody who actually knows a few things. http://www.cesarsway.com/dog-care/dog-nutrition/Dog-Nutrition-A-to-Z guess what, pumpkin, apples, and lots of other non-meats are mentioned!
The funny thing is that my dog actually loves fruit (she still eats regular dog food and meat) but my whole family thinks it's just because of the immediate burst of liquid in her mouth so this was actually quite helpful
No grapes or raisins, avocados, or cherries, and be careful of fruits with seeds and pits inside
