She was, but the technique she learned is not correct for a traditional bow. I am a right handed recurve archer, but the technique for a recuve bow is very different than for a traditional bow. The olympic archer shoots with a recurve, therefore Jennifer learned the wrong technique.
Well...the modern recurve has that three-piece setup and the riser has the arrow rest and plunger which hold the arrow in line with the string. An old recurve/longbow has a solid piece to grip which offsets the arrow slightly.
I shoot left handed, and I'm actually a decent shot. C:
