Bats usually stay in caves, if not, an attic. The closest the come to being poisonous is their dung being dangerous (but then again, bird dung is too). Even vampire bats can be used for good! And,Well there is a huge bat called the flying fox with a 1.5 meter (4 feet 11 inch) wingspan

Can't they carry bacteria in their bites?

Vampire Bats? Or regular? All animals, including humans, have bacteria in their mouths. Good and bad, they're always there. Especially in the Komodo Dragon. Their saliva is so bad, it's practically venomous. Vampire Bats have a chemical in their saliva that prevents blood clots, allowing them to lap up blood.

Well, many other species do as well, such as foxes, skunks, possums, raccoons,and common dogs-bats shouldn't be hated simply for that.

Oh no, don't hate them. They play an important part in our ecosystem. Just saying be careful around them and avoid contact with them if possible

I love in Northern California and have bats living in my attic. They are harmless and actually control the bug/pest population and are quite good for the environment. There has not been a case of rabies in this area for many years, including from bats. They're also really cute and it's pretty cool watching them fly out every night.

One time in my school the caretaker found a baby bat had flown into a window and we all got to get a look before it was ok again and took off. Very cute
