And for the first "43 years" forests didn't exist.
.
Ok, so it still isn't sustainable. But it is true that forests weren't around until 320 million or so years ago. This timescale is skewed because they're starting from the very beginning, like when everything was magma and such.
.
In this scale, forests existed for the last "three years". Unfortunately, 50% is an understatement. In the last few "minutes", it's estimated we've destroyed 80% of the forests. Yikes!

Yikes indeed....
(By the way, good to see you FunStats)
And if these stats are true and we have done that much damage in such a small percentage of our time on earth then there is NOTHING that we can do to get it back. Not even if we turned off all of our power plants, stopped using fossil fuels and lived like we did before we became industrialised. I'm no climate change denier but logically this cannot surely be correct.
It is correct and numerous scientists have said that there is nothing we can do about it. Even if we do try to abandon using fossil fuels and tried to live sustainably the world will still be "ending", e would just delay it by a couple years
