So there is a pit bull ban that is taking place in the states and they are considering putting one in British Columbia, Canada. People are rallying together to try and stop these bans, but it'll only make a difference if enough people oppose it. Pit-bulls aren't inherently bad dogs; people have given them a bad name and people need to fix it.
It's not the dogs fault! Blame the humans that make them fight! I like the show Pitbulls and Parolees it shows people that the pitbulls reputation is wrong, they are generally good dogs.
The ban basically means that people are no longer allowed to breed any pit bulls and they cannot bring any new pit bull in. However, ones that people already own wouldn't be taken away. But, yes, they are going to ban bringing in even nice ones.
A ban on pits is retarded
A. People can't tell what's a pit,staffy,American staffy,mastiffs, and any short haired muscular dog
B. Most people don't know what a pit looks like
C. "Pit bull" doesn't always mean mean fighting dog(game dog)
D. Even a fighting dog is wired to. Not bite humans
E. People shouldn't be allowed to have ANY dog without license and proper home check
F. The human race is retarded
A. and B. Funny how no one has a problem identifying a pit bull when it's a "post a picture of your pit bull" post. Only when it's something negative do pit bulls suddenly become impossible to identify.
C. Yes. Pit bull always means fighting dog. The only reason pit bulls exist is their unrelenting tenacity when fighting.
D. Possibly true back when dog fighting was still legal and, or widespread, but now that delusional dog owners are trying to make pets out of dogs bred to fight, that's complete, total, utter, nonsense. There's a long list of dead and maimed children that show how wrong you are on this point.
E. I agree. People should also be held accountable for their dog's actions. That will never happen until this dog worshiping delusion comes to an end.
F. Dog owners are self-absorbed, self-important, delusional imbeciles that are allowed to force their filthy, noisy, hostile animals on others with no accountability or consequences.
A and B. Funny how a dog that isn't even a pit-bull attacks a person (or dog) and the media callssaid dog a pitbull.
C. Pit-bulls aren't inherently fighting dogs. They were used as fighting dogs because they are tenacious and have strong jaws. However, any dog can be trained to fight and a pitbull who isn't trained to fight (just like any other dog) won't go around fighting.
D. See points A/B and C. Also, pit-bulls are wonderful family dogs and if they are raised right (just like any other dog) then they are great with kids. There is a long list of dead and maimed children from other breeds as well.
F. Oh, I'm sorry but I think you may be confused. I believe that you are the delusion, self-absorbed, self-important, imbecile that forces your arrogant, narrow mind, egotistic, and ignorant opinions on others. You're the type of person that makes me hate humans; making something else suffer because of your selfishness.
Pit bulls are fine if you wise them right. The problem is, they don't stop fighting if they start attacking. Someones old pit was attacking their new dog, and they had to stab him. He didn't stop.
I have a pit bull, her name is Queen and she's the sweetest dog you'd ever meet. Yes she has crazy amounts of muscle but she's gentle and loves kids. It depends on who raises a dog, try not to be scared of them it only encrouages the stigma.

I'm sure they're absolute sweethearts when you raise them right, I just can't help it. I have this scar on the corner of my right eyebrow where I was at a friend's house and was playing on some swings and the dog just lunged.
But that was one dog. I'm sorry that happened to you but try to keep an open mind about them. Maybe if you spent time with one that wasn't aggressive it would help with your fear.
