Some people aren't kid people. Let them be.
I REALLY helped in raising my neice and nephews and I still don't want kids. I love them but I don't want any.
I don't want kids of my own blood, because the world already has more than enough orphans I could choose from. I might not change the world through adopting, but to one child I could change their world.

I was adopted and there's a legacy of adoption in my family and I love this. Just remember that we can be harder to raise because being abandoned really tears a giant hole in a person's heart, especially when it's the parents that leave. We need lots of love and patience.
Thank you ^^, and I know. The only thing I'm tired of hearing is "what if one of those children present a problem of some sort? You don't know how "healthy" they are, do you want to deal with that when it's not your own blood" type of spiel. (If I hear one more family member say something of the like, I'll snap and say some (several) things to their faces, because my patience can only go for so long). My family has forgotten, it seems, that 2 of my cousins are adopted and one of them just happens to be one of the sweetest, most selfless girls I've ever known.

Wow. That's bs. I'm not healthy and my parents took care of me anyway. I have a hereditary kidney disease and am looking at transplant now and they wanted to give me their kidneys but they aren't healthy enough. You run the same risk with any child. That's just a terrible argument.
My cousin loves following her favorite bands on tour and enjoys traveling all over the world. She found a guy who likes doing the same thing and they recently married. They both agreed that they don't want kids because they don't want to be chained down.
