Back in high school we had to get in groups and one kid asked me "so what are you anti social?" I was so shy, I could not even reply. I just wanted to curl up and die.
These problems occur way too often in my life. I'm super shy, and I pathetically start to tear up and almost cry when I'm embarrassed. Once, in a video game summer camp, I had to present the video game my group and I designed. My uncle thought I did fine, but I started to tear up in the middle of it. I was fourteen.
For last year's big speech thing we had to do in English, my paper's actual grade was 100% and my teacher told me I should publish it or something, yet I got an 88% on the final grade because my actual presentation was so bad. I was so nervous I would say the wrong word, stutter or mispronounce every two or so words, so it was super bad. I think my teacher could tell I was nervous so she gave me some sympathy there, but people don't get that I have so much anxiety just from school and public speaking/presentations is one of the reasons why. I'm getting better but still..I hate presentations with a passion xD

I was so shy in highschool that one teacher actually thought I was mute. Scared the shit out of him when he heard me talk for the first time
These posts are hilarious, sad and painful at the same time. I laughed because I can relate some 45 to 50 years later. You are a valuable person, you are sensitive, you have a gentle spirit and a sense of humor about yourself. Don't worry about what other people think of you; don't be intimidated by others' opinions or judgmental attitudes. You are intelligent; share your insights and develop confidence in yourself. Cultivate friendships with people who share your interests and outlook on life. Learn what your strengths are and identify and work on your weaknesses. God bless you; don't leave Him out of the equation.
