Statistically speaking, given a 2-vehicle accident, nearly half the time it is the driver of a vehicle crashing into the motorcycle. People like to blame motorcycles, but in my experience it is more vehicle drivers without regard for a motorcyclist that cause accidents. I've never been the cause of an accident in my car either, yet wrecks still happen...
even when its not the driver crashing into the bike its oft still the car at fault... like when i was just chilling at 30mph and that car turned in front of me like i didn't exist. you wanna be technical, i hit her, but shes the one who caused the wreck.
Something similar happened to my boyfriend. Some lady pulled out in front of him, causing him to hit her. The ruled at as 60% her fault and 40% his even though she caused the wreck.
really? thats stupid, they put it all on her, if someone turns directly in front of you while you are going the speed limit, tis not possible to stop. i mean i tried to make it around her, and i was sooo close i hit near her trunk, but theres just not room to react. funny cuz my other bad accident was me technically t-boning the person, in another scenario where it was still their fault. that was in cars at least.
The thing is sport bike riders will do a little wave to eachother but when a sport bike rider waves to a cruiser to be nice they ignore it and rarely wave back
You mean when we hold our hands down at our side as we ride by? yeah, I don't do that every time either because I can be focused on other things and not see people. Hell, I didn't do it for a long time just because I wasn't comfortable removing my hand.
yeah thats crap cruisers do that shit all the time too, some bikers are dicks and some are regular people pissed at the dicks making people think they are dicks.
No. No, there's no difference. You can even throw bicyclists in there as well. There're all a bunch of assholes.

Personally, I find all Harley riders a**holes. The motorcycles are so loud and disruptive on purpose.

There are assholes in all walks of life. A lot of Harley riders are doctors and teachers etc etc. Yes some riders have illegal and loud straight pipes but it's not the majority. People ride because it's their passion and hobby. If they aren't hurting anybody then get over yourself and let them be.
I personally find any car louder than its physical size needs to be a shit car. It's more annoying than a crying infant and the driver more often than not makes it even worse by downshifting and making it putter even louder. But I do recognize that they do enjoy them. But I still hate them to an irrational level.
I lost track of what my point was gonna be...
crfwannabe - I have NEVER heard a Harley that wasn't extremely loud. They are made that way on purpose and anybody who would purposefully buy a vehicle like that, knowing it will annoy people and wake them up at 5 am every freaking day...is an a**hole.

Harley's are loud yes but they aren't extremely loud. It's the type of sound that a V Twin makes. If the pipes are legal then you're just being a baby. I'm sure there are things you do or have that annoy other people. Calm your tits.
