I'll point out that labradors in particular are notorious for eating anything and everything without a second thought. Most of the time it's scary giving them a treat without fearing your fingers being ripped off

I’ve got a pitt/lab and he tries so hard to be patient but he really can’t, so he often eats the treat immediately. And individually those breeds are notorious for their poor attention skills
