I put it in quotes because his name is Steve? not Steve. The name is pronounced like a question, it lilts up. Hence the question mark.

Oh neat, is that because that's how it's pronounced in Swedish or something?

I seem to recall that Markus gave "the player" that name as a joke when he was asked what his name was. He said it in a noncommittal sort of way, almost like a verbal shrug.
Not entirely sure if his accent or a Swedish pronunciation had a part.
