i always wonder how society would be if we all heard each other thoughts. like everyone has terrible thoughts... would we be desensitized to it? or would our thoughts become nicer by default through awareness of others? would we hate eachother more or less if our hatred was instantly known and the persons rebuttal for why they are actually not so bad also instantly known?

Perhaps people would get better at hiding their thoughts until they were in a secluded spot.

when i play this mental game i like to imagine different versions.. like oly your surface thoughts can be heard, so you COULD train yourself to hold the thoughts deeper, or the other end where everything crossing your mind could be instantly understood by a nearby person.
