One reason why it'll never happen is because our paper system is all inches, and offices country wide all use letter and A4 paper. Those are measured 8.5"x11" and 8.5"X14".
Some of the girls in my grade can be pretty dumb despite being smart. "I don't get it." Said multiple about the metric system. It's literally multiples of 10 how hard can it be. It's not hard you just don't want to try.
From what I've seen, they've spent money on a bunch of useless stuff over the years, so why can't they actually spend some to switch to a system which makes logical sense?
The good majority of government money goes to social security, military funding, and medicine. Other things like education, environment, road construction, etc. make up a total of 10% of government spending. Personally, I agree on switching to the Metric System, but I think that at this point, we're in too deep with the American System economically and the transition would be disastrous.
Hire random ordinary citizens to do the work. Like the Civilian Conservation Corps. Us young adults are bored as hell during the summer so give us a bit of money and we'll drive around fixing all your signs.
Screw you and your Frenchie things. I'll just keep using Pounds. No Euros here. And my angry stepson over in 'Murica wants you to know that ice freezes at 32 degrees.

Really?!?!? You don't want free health care. I know taxes would go up, but right now I'm paying $1200 a month for insurance premiums and still can't afford more than 3 or 4 of my 10 prescriptions I need. I seriously doubt our taxes would go up by $1200.
Which is much better than Imperial
