There is a logical loophole in this. Assume everyone listens twice as much as they speak. However, because they speak half as much as they listen, they actually have half as much to listen TO, introducing a mathematical paradox. You can only ever listen if something is spoken. Unless, of course, you can listen to silence.

This is silly. We have two ears so we can locate the source of a sound, and we have two eyes so we can sense depth. The mouth is just ridiculous though. Why do we breathe, speak and eat from the same hole?
