The funny thing is that I'm the same, but as an archer it's easier for me to adapt because holding a bow properly was a completely new experience so I'm naturally shooting left.
I'm the same too, but I didn't know for awhile, so when I was at camp I would always shoot right-handed, so I sucked. After I figured out the problem though, I got a lot better.
Make the hole smaller, about penny-dime sized. Then instead of closing each eye, bring your hand to your face while keeping an object visible within your window.
Also, if you have children, try to know as soon as possible which is their dominant eye, because they should have the same dominant hand. I have been forced to become right-handed when I was little, but my dominant eye is the left eye, and it kind of sucks.

You too? My parents did that too. Fortunately for my sister, they realized it was wrong so she got to stay left handed.
Am I doing it wrong?
