Trust me, I know. We had a tornato about half a mile away from our house but we couldn't go to the shelter because our dogs weren't allowed there.

As someone from kansas, i can confirm this. When the sirens go off in town you can spot half the town going to stand on their porches and watch. Its a popular form of entertainment for kansans

Really? I've lived in Kansas my whole life, and I've NEVER seen this happen. Am I just in the wrong neighborhood?
