Whatev. My 16 year old son is like"Hey dad. We got more duct tape? My shoe blew out again."
And I swear I would buy him $200 shoes.

High school boys? My husband is 38 and still acts like this about his sneakers. He couldn't give a shit about his work and dress shoes though.

I wore the same pair of shoes until I had holes littering them and my feet got soaked by stepping in the smallest puddle. I own 4 pairs if shoes: dress shoes, every day shoes, soccer cleats, and boots.
