OOoh my god this song couldn't be any more wrong. once I was depressed and I told my friend and she said, "listen to all about that bass by Meghan Trainer." so I thought it would be happy and all I FUCKING LISTEN TO IT AND IT'S MAKING ME FEEL EVEN WORSE. you can't just say that because men like fatter women you should remain fat! this whole concept is as stupid as the song! being overweight can lead to health problems so you shouldn't encourage people to not lose weight because men will like them! and don't even fucking get me on the skinny bitches part. NOT EVERYONE CAN CHOOSE TO BE SKINNY, JUST LIKE YOU, CAN CHOOSE TO BE FAT. GOD.
I don't think the song is about being overweight. I think it's about being a little curvy...but it doesn't help Meghan trainer is a little over weight and singing this song. Let alone she's wearing a gurtle during the whole song.

Yeah, the song is meant to reassure girls that aren't thin like media models, not to glorify an unhealthy weight. But the message IS kind of lost by her wearing slimming undergarments and calling skinny girls bitches. It's kind of rude.
'I'm bringing booty back
Go 'head and tell them skinny bitches that
No, I'm just playing, I know you think you're fat
But I'm here to tell you...
Every inch of you is perfect from the bottom to the top'
If you listen to the lyrics she actually sympathises with skinny girls too. I admit it's not the smartest thing to say in a song but that's because people will pick out the bits they can get offended by and never want to listen to the song again... I just wanted to say you guys are being a bit harsh when she's saying she loves you for whatever you look like.
not being harsh, just telling the truth. she may be telling you that every inch of you is perfect, but you shouldn't tell them to throw everything away for men's fetishes.
Is 'NOT EVERYONE CAN CHOOSE TO BE SKINNY, JUST LIKE YOU, CAN CHOOSE TO BE FAT. GOD.' not harsh? I agree that it could put people off from getting healthier, but if people are swayed from exercising because of a song, I'm pretty sure they weren't really planning on exercising in the first place.
I am skinny and I actually love the part where she says, "Go ahead and tell all those skinny bitched that... naw I'm just kidding.." and then she says we are perfect "bottom to top" too. I felt it was supposed to highlight that we all feel body pressure and shouldn't be bitter with each other.
Fat girls are gross, instead of being proud, stop eating.

You'd think it was that easy. I've switched to a calorie controlled vegetarian diet and upped my exercise, and in the past two months I've lost only 3 pounds. I wish "stop eating" was the solution.
.
(** Except if you're skinny. That makes you a bitch.)

SMH at the hypocrisy.
