Actually I think you'd get a lot of workoutaholics signing up because they would get most of their money back and have a relatively inexpensive gym membership. Then you'd have the people who mean well and want motivation but still fail. And you have a small handful of success stories.

its hard to google this cuz i just keep getting suggestions to save money on going to the gym for results. but i know ive read about an actual individual gym where you like, cash back on your membership everytime you go or something
A longer workout doesn't always mean a better workout. You could be fumbling around with the weights for an hour or do a High Intensity Interval Training session that lasts about 15 minutes.
