*When you´re going to bed on the last day of summer vacation*

When does your school year end, though?
Ours ends on June 30th, or basically the latest date in June, to get kids as much education as possible. Ya know, Central Europe, we're no slackers :P

here in Portugal we end around 15-twenties June: it depends if you are on 4th, 6th,9th, 11or 12th grade and have exams

Dayum, your summer break is almost a month longer than ours, then.
Although we have lots of short breaks during the year, so I guess the final number of active school days is more or less the same.

I started august 17th

ewqua we have lots of short breaks as well but until 9th grade our classes are longer than yours I think...Here in Portugal we have lots of time but our classes are freaking hard. In university you need an 18.73 on a scale of 0-20 to enter Medicine ,for example, on a public school and that´s why other countries like our college students because we work hard to get to the top :) I want to study History and I need a 16- being on a public school didn´t mean I couldn´t make it because I have a 19 :D I think that´s the main reason we have longer vacations because during school we are REALLY tired :/

Oh, I see, so your system is a bit like the French one, then. Dayum, that's hard.
