I just feel you should wear what you want. Like, ad long as you aren't a well endowed fellow wearing a g-string to a park full of kids or something like that, there really isn't a problem with you wearing what you want.
Well no. Pants and tee shirts look good on everyone. Even then, there are still gender specific pants. You can tell by the way they fit. If a girl was wearing really manly pants you would definitely notice
Well most men don't wear skin tight pants. Have you ever seen a woman that dresses like a man? They look kinda weird. Same thing with men who dress like women. I'm not saying they should be judged for it, but I hate when people bitch and moan about this kind of stuff. That's just how things work. Men are Men and Women are Women. A vast majority of people wear clothing specific to their gender. Get used to it.
Dude, have you ever met the Scottish ? Kilts galore.
And back in the day EVERYONE wore dresses to bed, length changed according to class.
And " gender specific " clothing changes over time. Heels were originally for men as well as makeup, but you're the kind of person who thinks they shouldn't wear it.
Clothing is clothing just like food is food. It doesn't matter who is who you can eat it if you want just like you can wear clothing if you want. The only thing stopping people from wearing certain things are people like you who keep saying there are boundaries where here are none so they don't stray from them.
50 years ago. Any style of pants even those tailored to fit the female figure was viewed as manly. Because it wasnt a skirt or dress. Times change. Ideas change. Those that dont change with them are not looked on favorably by history
Every generation wants to make a change
But then they settle down and complain about the newer generations wanting to change. But if we listened and never changed we wouldn't even be able to make fire.
the thing is, styles haven't changed in your favor yet. Pretty much everyone thinks it's weird for men to wear dresses. Go ahead and wear clothes for the opposite sex, but just remember that people are going to think you are weird. As fucked up as it is that you can't wear what you want without judgement, it's just how it is. Maybe in the future it will be considered normal, but for now, it isn't. I don't give a damn about you or what you wear. I only commented because I'm tired of people on tumblr bitching about things like this constantly and I wanted to vent. Keep that social justice shit over there dude don't bring it here on FUNsubstance. Good night.
Without bitching and complaining and bringing it up, nothing changes, evrything stays the same. Society stagnates. Its the "we've always done things this way" mentality. When you just follow the continued established social norms without questioning and complaining. Nothing changes. If early astronomers never challenged the churches views of the solar systems we'd all still be believing the earth was the center of the solar system.
( I went to sleep sorry )
But in the 30s it was seem as OBSCENE for women to wear shorts. Now it's a staple of fashion. Things change and they can change quickly. If you keep telling guys they're weird for wanting to wear skirts and dresses, guys won't wear skirts and dresses and fashion won't really evolve at all.
And this isn't social Justice bs. This is everyone should wear what they want.
Social justice bs is more or less " communism is good, capitalism is bad even though if I was in another type of society I would probably hate it, and being sexist/racist/phobic of the genders they say are " oppressing " them for existing "
I disagree that the reason is because women are less valued. I thin it's because men's roles are more strictly limited. For example, nobody thinks anything of two women dancing together.
I am very tiny
And also I'm chilling in your kitchen cause I'm hungry right now
I'm gonna steal your pizza rolls
( Rebecca I am female )
Oopsies
What is it that makes people think that ?
Because we are all fabulous as fuck. Screw haters.
SO FUCK YOU
