"It actually helps relieve the pain" said the male PE teacher who has never attempted to become a pretzel to alleviate menstrual cramps.
If I can barely stand up (not even straight at that), what makes you think I want to engage in more physical movement?
Funsubstance - quickly becoming the place where if something you say goes against what I say, you immediately get down voted because you are wrong and I'm right. End of story. Because I can't grow up.
not sure who that comment is directed to ('sides, that's not really surprising nowadays). However, guest does have a point, to some it works, unfortunately, there are a lot who are not part of that privileged group.
@guest, I can't do that, I've got reaaaaally heavy periods, anything that makes me move more than I should ends up with me and whatever I'm wearing with a big, nasty, impossible to remove, red spot. I've found a way to make it not as heavy though, vitamins. Folic acid works wonders on me.
Well it depends how old you are as well. If you're in high scool. A mile shouldn't be too hard. No one's saying run it in a certain time. But running a mile isn't hard. And don't use that as an excuse. More people should be in shape
"Easier said than done"
That literally means it's hard. If your out of shape, running for twenty minutes is hard or impossible. I'm not saying anything about excuses, I'm just refuting your claim that running for twenty minutes isn't hard. It is for some people, not for others.
I am the laziest piece of shit I've ever had the misfortune to meet and I miraculously managed to run a full mile for the first time in a few years a while ago. That being said, I agree with garlog on this one-- it can be difficult or even dangerous to run while severely or of shape. You have a good point though, sparklez.
Of course that's what it means. If that's somehow hard to understand or you think it needs an explanation, maybe I should be more straight to the point I guess. I'm not saying to run for 20 minutes. I'm saying a mile. That shouldn't take 20 minutes. A mile is not hard. If you are out of shape of course it's gonna be hard but that's why you get in shape. Getting in shape can be hard. Running a mile shouldn't be that bad. Especially if you're not running for time and just distance.
As well. I'm not expecting some obese or overweight person to be able to do a mile. But if you're in a natural weight you should be able to do it. If you're overweight of course it can be dangerous to try a mile but that's why you try and get in shape. SLOWLY. It's not easy but it's doable.
Omg pay attention.
Of course it's going to be hard getting in shape if you are over weight.
You following me here? I hope so.
If you are NOT over weight it should NOT be hard to run a mile.
Only you were talking about being fit. I just used the assumption of you not being fit as a snide way saying you were wrong about running a mile being easy for everyone.
No one is disputing that people should be fit and/or that people who are fit can run a mile. That was never in contention. No one is arguing with you about what you're arguing about.
You clearly don't get what I'm saying so continuing with this is pointless.
-getting in shape if you are overweight can be hard but is doable.
-if you are not overweight or underweight for that matter, a MILE. Not twenty minutes. Should not be hard. If it is than you should probably be trying to get in a t least good enough shape to finish a mile. Especially if it isn't timed.
My PE teacher in high school was also my super in shape uncle that ran beside us and lifted weights with us to keep us motivated. It was great, but also infuriating to see a man in his mid 40's run circles around you and laugh while doing it.

This whole thing was you saying it wasn't hard, and me saying it is for some people. What the fuck are you on about?
Of course it's going to be hard getting in shape if you are over weight.

Again, nobody is arguing against what you are arguing for.
