The earth ran out of water that year. That's why America was focusing so hard on getting to the moon all throughout the 60's. We had to take all the water from the moon to replenish our water supply. It was foreseen for about a decade, which caused the rush to get there, and it really came down to the wire. The water ran out in 1969, but that was also the year we made it to the moon. They attached a big hose connecting the moon and the earth, and took every last drop from the moon. That's why the moon is so dry today.
Unfortunately, California is showing signs that this might happen again, and this time we don't have water on the moon to take, so we are going to really have to get creative, otherwise humanity as we know it could be extinct by 2040.
thepacifist isn't lying you know. We have scientific proof that this is true. I hope that we are able to take the hydrogen particles and mix them with oxygen to make water so we can solve this terrible issue.
Just saying... when in grade school, they told you water is a renewable resource... it really isn't. Keep in mind we only use 3% of Earth's water, because the rest is salt water. Which also means, Niagara Falls might look like that someday.
