Got stung by one at bondi it hurts a lot but then i moved to northern australia and got stung by a box jelly fish it was a lot worse

It hurts a lot to be stung by one but when you live in Australia this is basically normal and all part of going swimming at a beach.

They're just bluebottles its ok this happens every summer. They're super common and are everywhere its something people have learnt to deal with everyones been stung by a bluebottle a couple of times.

It's a Portuguese man o' war, and it's not a jelly fish. We aren't even sure if we should classify it as one organism or many organisms.

Lived in Sydney my whole life... Never gotten stung. But they're so pretty it makes my eyes hurt!
