Google translate doesn't translate literally, it translates so one can understand how the saying is used. For example, "lo siento" put into Google translate will say "I'm sorry", while the literal translation is "I feel for you"
I mean, if you think about it, "I miss you" is the same as "You are missing from me". But it is true that in French the subject is "you" instead of "me" as it's "tu me manque", but I think it's essentially the same thing.
