I don't know, I never get pissed at things like this anymore. You just have to see them as different versions. Its not the same, there's no used on getting stressed about it.
Althought it used to happen to me more with comics. But I still enjoy every possible versions that comes out (cartoon, tv show, movie, book)
Didn't see Scorch Trials yet, and even though Maze Runner the movie wasn't amazing.. I'm still excited. Like tae said, it's sometimes completely different and you just have to treat it like another world yet to explore. If you have a good imagination, that's all you need really to enjoy a book and its movie. You can either connect them together, or keep them separate if you want.
I am unable to separate them. I've become so attatched to the book since I got it when it first came out (Yea, yea, I'm being one of *those* people) so I keep expecting the movie to be great! And then it's not.
I used to be like that but now i just judge the movie by itsself, not in comparison with the book. Some movies I used to think were terrible are ok now
Oh, well I loved the maze runner. I thought it was really good and scenes were really well shot. I liked scorch trials even better but I doubt you will if you can't separate the book from the movie. That sucks.

The scorch trials was only very loosely based on the book. They removed oh so many things. But it definitely looks like a seperate movie to the first one because of all the civilisation and guns

Yea, all the movies are "loosely based" on the book. They are barely similar.
