I kind of wish this was the norm, honestly. "Smile" is not my default expression, anymore than "fine" has anything to do with how I'm actually doing today.

I agree. I hate having people come up to me on a daily basis saying "you should smile!", "why aren't you smiling?", "are you okay?" Like just because im not smiling like :D all day doesnt mean im not in a happy mood!
