Or that language is merely a construct necessary for our more linear existence. Since a ghost is not quite bound to same rules, languages pose no real boundaries to their understanding of your communication.
Because it's all fake and these people are deluded.

Before you flame me, cite some credible evidence. Anecdotes, misunderstood technology misused buy amatures and grown men running around in the dark like children and scaring themselves doesn't count.
.
Hard facts and unbiased data does.
I was once laying on a bed getting ready to fall asleep when the end of the bed pressed down as if someone sat down on the end of the bed. But when i looked and felt no one, no animal, no anything was there but the mattress was still pushed down. I was not told someone thought the place was haunted. To my knowledge at the time of the incident it was a completely normal fine bedroom and bed.
Nothing to flame. Is there a supernatural? Maybe, but the whole fact that it is "supernatural", meaning not of the natural, makes it rather hard to use natural things to get evidence either way. Think of it like trying to take a picture of something where the front is actually the side and the side is the bottom. Looking at it you might be able to describe it but a camera has a rather limited scope of capabilities.
Pebble, that's classic sleep paralysis. Often frigtening, but nothing to be alarmed about.
Unless it happens frequently... then it could be a sign that there might be undiagnosed neurological issues.

Often manifests in sleep deprived and overworked college students, notably medical students.
I experienced that too, but I was sleeping, felt like someone sat heavily on the corner of the bed, woke up cuz of the movement on the bed but didn't see nothing

Look many people have the ability to see supernatural things that no one else can see.
Proof-I was asleep once and I woke up a bit and I was moving around in my bed when I saw a shadowy figure I wasn't afraid so I looked around and no one was there, I told this to my dad the next day and he went to a psychic women and she told my dad that there was something unearthly living in our house (now gone) but before I saw the shadow my sister saw a shadowy figure but with a hat, she woke up in the middle of the night once and saw that shadow, but once she saw it the shadow was basically melting to the ground and disappeared. How would you explain that?
Insufficient information for any explanation.
It's certainly not evidence. I won't go into to it here, but I would suggest reading up on the neurologica blog, it may shed some light on the matter.
May not be an issue. Could be one of a myriad of effects that manifests as a result of a wide variety of stimuli. Doesn't mean it's an "issue" and it certainly doesn't mean you or anyone else is "crazy."
A lot of people have this happen. I'm not saying spirits have brain power but since they don't have a limit to a certain language they can understand any.
